In the heart of Newcastle city centre, the refurbishment of 71 Grey Street focused on improving the arrival and shared experience within a listed building, carefully balancing modern workplace needs with the character of the original space.

The project involved removing the existing lobby and reworking the reception and communal areas to create a cleaner, more contemporary environment. Bespoke metalwork and joinery were introduced alongside reclaimed parquet flooring, combining new materials with retained character.

The completed space provides a more welcoming and refined entrance, supporting the building’s use as a modern workplace while respecting its heritage setting.
